Sammendrag
Army of Love is a performance, community and documentary film project born from a novel, "Complete Love" by German author Ingo Niermann. Army of Love aims at researching the possibility of Love as a common good, as a common* (*cultural and natural resources accessible to all members of a society), this common being defended by an army (not in the military sense, but in the sense of discipline, selflessness, skill and awareness of the collective good) who is ready to give love to those who lack love (because of age, social exclusion, mental or physical handicap) and train those who have love - in excess - to give love. Love is understood in the widest sense of the term: companionship, care, friendship, sensual and sexual love. The Army of Love, made of givers and receivers of love (the two roles are constantly being interchanged) is in permanent construction. Practically speaking, the performances are presented as recruitment sessions, where different people meet to decide together what is the Army of Love and how it should operate. These recruitment sessions are led by Ingo Niermann, Dora García, and a group of performers / sympathisers. An important part of the project is to film a documentary of this permanent formation process of the Army of Love - Dora García would be the author of this documentary film.
