| dc.description.abstract | Project manager: Trine Wester. The pilot-project “Bombardo” started in august 2012 and will be concluded during spring 2013. The aim of this pilot-project is to explore the possibilities of taking digital fabrication “out of the box” and employing a mobile, autonomous 3d-printer of some sort in artistic practice – both as a tool and as a work of art in its own right. With this we are following the track of- and continuing the tradition of the artmachine. During the pilot project we will do testing of potential solutions conserning mecanics, fabrication methods, and materials. As an end result we will build a simple autonomous robot with a control system that will perform a pre-defined behaviour. By using sensors it will interact with its surroundings, and it will be given a formgenerating tool so that it can make «physical» objects based on interaction. | no_NO |
