Skuespillerpodden er en podcast om og for skuespillerfaget, med ambisjoner om å drive formidlingsarbeid og delta i en større offentlig samtale om skuespillerkunst og performative strategier. Podcasten er altså i mindre grad kunstnerisk utvikling og forskning i seg selv, enn formidling av slikt.

Skuespillerpoddens målgruppe kan primært sies å være studenter og profesjonelle med hovedfokus på film og teater. Dernest generelt kulturinteresserte med særlig interesse for film, teater og performative strategier.

Podcasten har normalt en til to gjester samlet rundt et tema, formulert som et spørsmål, for eksempel: Hva er et skuespillertalent? Hvordan skal skuespillere snakke? Hva er impro? Hvem er Konstantin Stanislavskij? Hvordan har norsk filmskuespill utviklet seg? Hvordan anmelde skuespilleri?

Det produseres cirka en episode i måneden, med en lengde på normalt 30-40 minutter. Samtalene ledes av Øystein Stene, som forsøker å gjøre komplekse spørsmål knyttet til skuespill og performativitet tilgjengelig for så mange som mulig, men samtidig holde samtalen fagnær og aktuell.

Det er på sikt et mål at podcasten skal vise berøringsområder med andre fagfelt og områder, som politikk, religion og antropologi. Ett eksempel på dette er episoden fra desember 2023, der gjest er Oslo-biskopen, og en samtale om det performative ved gudstjenesten og kristendommen som religion.

Podcasten skapes og vedlikeholdes med ressurser fra KUF KHIO og avdelingen Teaterhøgskolen, med vesentlig hjelp og støtte fra filmtidsskriftet Rushprint og teatermagasinet Scenekunst.no. Podcasten er tilgjengelig på en rekke plattformer, deriblant Spotify.

Skuespillerpodden is a podcast about and for the acting profession, with ambitions to carry out dissemination work and participate in a larger conversation about acting and performative strategies. The podcast is therefore to a lesser extent artistic development and research in itself, than dissemination of such.

Skuespillerpodden's target group can primarily be said to be students and professionals with a main focus on film and theatre. Secondly, people interested in culture in general with a particular interest in film, theater and performative strategies.

The podcast normally has one to two guests gathered around a theme, formulated as a question, for example: What is an acting talent? How should actors talk? What is impro? Who is Konstantin Stanislavsky? How has Norwegian film acting developed? How to review acting?

Approximately one episode is produced a month, with a length of normally 30-40 minutes. The conversations are led by Øystein Stene, who tries to make complex questions related to acting and performativity accessible to as many people as possible, but at the same time keep the conversation relevant and topical.

In the long run, it is a goal that the podcast will show areas of contact with other disciplines and areas, such as politics, religion and anthropology. One example of this is the episode from December 2023, where the guest is the Bishop of Oslo, and a conversation about the performative aspects of the service and Christianity as a religion.

The podcast is created and maintained with resources from KUF KHIO and the Theater Academy department, with significant help and support from the film magazine Rushprint and the theater magazine Scenekunst.no. The podcast is available on a number of platforms, including Spotify.
