Work: “Identity: Undefined” (felt, crochet work, 210 x 55 x 30 cm)
Concept of the work: In our world we are surrounded by people, objects and phenomena that we wish to identify and categorize. We wish to give everything a name and preferably also an identity. It seems we need some form of register or system to orientate ourselves by. I approach these systems with caution and doubt because they have a tendency to divide and categorize, leaving no room for imagination. I am more interested in the undefined; not that which is similar but that which is unique – something you wish to explore and which ignites our imagination. This is the theme that inspired my work “Identity: Undefined”. | nb_NO |
