Abstract

Ole Lennard Fyrand (født 4. april 1937) er en norsk lege med hud og hudsykdommer som spesialfelt. Fyrand er professor dr.med., med mange års erfaring fra Rikshospitalet i Oslo. Etter legestudier i Basel, Wien og Berlin på 1960-tallet vendte Fyrand tilbake til Norge for å avslutte studiene ved Universitetet. I 1994 ble han leder for hudavdelingen på sykehuset og var der helt til 2006 da han startet en praksis ved Norsk Legesenter A/S.Ole Fyrand har på mange måter blitt hele norges hudlege. Han er kjent for å ha sterke meninger om alt fra lykkepiller og medmennesklighet til kunst og kroppshår. Han er heller ikke redd for å kritisere sin egen yrkesgruppe.

Ole Lennard Fyrand (born April 4, 1937) is a Norwegian doctor with skin and skin diseases as a specialty. Fyrand Professor Dr. med., has years of experience in the National Hospital in Oslo. After medical studies in Basel, Vienna and Berlin in the 1960s turned Fyrand back to Norway to finish my studies at the university. In 1994 he became head of the Dermatology Department at the hospital and was there until 2006 when he started a practice at the Norwegian Medical Offices A / S. Ole Fyrand has in many ways became the most popular norwegian dermatologist. He is known to have strong opinions on everything from anti-depressants and compassion to art and body hair. He's also not afraid to criticize his own profession.
