Artists' book
Two sampled and constructed conversations between Anais Nin of Gemor Press & Virginia Woolf of The Hogarth Press - both self published writers and self taught typesetters, and the industrial printers Emily Faithfull, founder of the Victoria Press in London and Ingeborg Anna Stuedal, typesetter at Fjeld-Ljom in Røros. My aim is to highlighting strong women from two different angles from the history of letterpress through their reflections on their own printing practices. Printed in red ink on newsprint on my private Triumph proofing press. Silkscreened images, Fellesverkstedet. Folded in a transarent envelope, made for the Nordic Letterpress Collaboration. Set in 48 pt Headline, 16 pt fet venus, 12 & 6 pt Goudy & Random woodtype, inherited from Unn Stixrud.nb_NO
