dc.descriptionTommy Olsson (born 1963 in Lindesberg, Sweden) is an artist, curator, art critic, musician and self-proclaimed pornographer. Olsson is educated as an artist at the Art Academy in Trondheim and Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, and has an MA in Creative Curating at the Art Academy in Bergen. Olsson was established on the 90's art scene as a performance and video artist. Critics Wenche Wolle and Lotte Sandberg placed Olsson within a tradition where he uses documentation of the performances as a way to tell completely different stories. In an interview portrait with Dagbladet in 2006 Olsson stated that the 11th of september 2001 was decisive for him as an artist: he stopped using video and started to write.no_NO

Olsson er utdannet som kunstner ved kunstakademiet i Trondheim og Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten i Amsterdam, og har i tillegg en mastergrad i Skapende kuratorpraksis fra Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen.
